....that's the name I give to Jams I make whose fruit come from my own back yard. This morning I made a single batch of Rhubarb-Wild Strawberry-Red Currant Jam using only fruit that I grew myself. Very satisfying. Very delicious. In case you're a bit confused about my use of Red Currants at this time of year, they are last year's garden offering that I'd frozen for just such a fruit emergency....the emergency situation of having fewer strawberries than I thought I had and needing just a little more red fruit to make a nice balance. If only all emergencies were of this nature:)
