What a lovely, cold, old fashioned Winter we've been having here in the North East.  It's just been the perfect weather to make me want to knit, crochet, stitch, and cuddle up in woolly blankets.  The cold, snowy weather seems to bring out the best in my creativity...don't get me wrong though, I do long for the warm greens of spring and an end to FLU SEASON!  Poor Mr. is at home as I write this not feeling very well at all, I had hoped that we would escape it all this year, but I guess that is wishful thinking on my part seeing as everyone who is sick runs to their nearest convenience store for supplies and provision (bringing their contagions with them).  Let us hope it doesn't jump to me also and that he has a speedy recovery.

Just so you know that I haven't been lazing around and that I really have been busy stitching, here is a small sampling of what I've been up to.

Some Nautical themed cushions for a customer......

....and of course some more hats!

I've also made several pairs of warm, squishy mittens.  Sales of my wee textiles have dropped off a bit, which was expected given the time of year, but I'm pleased they they are still fact, I am very busy just keeping up with custom work that a few clients have asked for (no time crunch though, they are for next Christmas).

Hope all is well in your homes and studios and that all manner of flu bug has passed you by...feel free to drop by and let me know what you've been stitching!  I'll put the kettle on......

For anyone physically in the neighbourhood....knitting kits for both my Nutmeg and Sweet Cherry Pie hats will be available in Summerside, PEI at Rose Cottage Antiques and Gifts in the very near future!!!
