Camping/Sailing Fever

Last Summer while on a camping trip we shared with about 80 other die-hard, fiberglass camper lovers....Mr. and I won a 2 hour sail on a beautiful 68 foot Schooner.  Since then, we've been talking and planning about having our own sail boat one day.  So a couple of months ago we decided to sell our "Big Boler" camper and get a smaller fiberglass camper.....AND A BOAT!

Last week the plan came to fruition...with the sale of B-17, our beloved big boler...

We were able to purchase a Trillium 4500 that is in excellent shape...

It may look a little tatty now, but since it's in as good a shape as it is, the work is all superficial and a matter of personal taste.  I will of course be posting the "after" pics once we get her all dolled up in her party dress, but for now, you'll have to settle for this teaser....

We did get our boat as well, more news on that will follow in future posts as we haven't had time to take any pictures of it yet.  I can tell you that it's a 1979, Catalina 22.  It is in good shape also, and like the camper, needs a little love.  Mr. and I are very excited about both of our new toys and are looking forward to Summer evenings around the campfire and Summer afternoons on the ocean.  Now if we can just get some more Spring like weather it would be a help :)
