I love bits and pieces of pottery, dinnerware and glass, but you can have too much of a good thing. So in an attempt to minimize a little, I thought I'd make some new and wonderful things out of some old and wonderful things. Plates and cups from my childhood, bits and bobs picked up at auction, things I'd acquired along the way.<br /></span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIhNvMHh6gjcY943_Or1yjAed731YdH80TwzkJ-zqDp4JVaV_OFn9TPiraVfJC68khSTUH5q7td3LtQ7cEszQLlcrtxmkrQqLGLvZ4r3R-iDnq0Clab0mHJbxj5XDijhJ6VoR8cQ6FHbMy/s2048/cake+stand+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIhNvMHh6gjcY943_Or1yjAed731YdH80TwzkJ-zqDp4JVaV_OFn9TPiraVfJC68khSTUH5q7td3LtQ7cEszQLlcrtxmkrQqLGLvZ4r3R-iDnq0Clab0mHJbxj5XDijhJ6VoR8cQ6FHbMy/w300-h400/cake+stand+1.jpg" width="300" /></a></span></div><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">I stacked and mixed, changed my mind and stacked again, <br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1vsow9-bf6yxrWXlgh0MrNuvrQRZuy221zuE4HB5GSw-D7yrFdYHS8YBXjT04xm0jNKrecGb4N3DozXAJSFiV8k6fupk2NmmvF8zTe9EsyTvklNg2Gvsa7_pmoTyOB43owq0wAEfVhzlI/s2048/cake+stand+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1538" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1vsow9-bf6yxrWXlgh0MrNuvrQRZuy221zuE4HB5GSw-D7yrFdYHS8YBXjT04xm0jNKrecGb4N3DozXAJSFiV8k6fupk2NmmvF8zTe9EsyTvklNg2Gvsa7_pmoTyOB43owq0wAEfVhzlI/s320/cake+stand+2.jpg" /></a></span></div><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">until I started seeing some new things that I loved just as much as the old things.<br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwgTcsgB5kBySRZ6wS4TM9vIWbCSYzzbAUno3T_kJAcFm8OJdEnpOC8JKaXScFRzToa_LGPFEGiOK1Vo-XOmQFe9tAUhyphenhyphenjyjqPHvalcZ51ej8QBgH_7CmW4nqOJw0w_ZTaYlnAgLhoXHkw/s2048/cake+stand+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1095" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwgTcsgB5kBySRZ6wS4TM9vIWbCSYzzbAUno3T_kJAcFm8OJdEnpOC8JKaXScFRzToa_LGPFEGiOK1Vo-XOmQFe9tAUhyphenhyphenjyjqPHvalcZ51ej8QBgH_7CmW4nqOJw0w_ZTaYlnAgLhoXHkw/s320/cake+stand+3.jpg" /></a></span></div><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">And now these beautiful new, old things have a new purpose and they will all have new homes too.<br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy9U6ZCOhAdhWfdF_pPMSGsOu2og5gsqgyePjyWnz9KkAlF_TypNryLD1ffuCnyOMyMdxv8KW_Jpvnlvsy4D82z1Yr24Ar1RDZZvNvAb1tBug_VlNZN4FwTOPu1v8mcn656_KbAtNhQnmY/s2048/cake+stand+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1224" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjy9U6ZCOhAdhWfdF_pPMSGsOu2og5gsqgyePjyWnz9KkAlF_TypNryLD1ffuCnyOMyMdxv8KW_Jpvnlvsy4D82z1Yr24Ar1RDZZvNvAb1tBug_VlNZN4FwTOPu1v8mcn656_KbAtNhQnmY/w382-h640/cake+stand+4.jpg" width="382" /></a></span></div><p><span style="font-size: large;"></span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Wishing you all a lovely and creative week.<br /></span></p><p><br /></p>Chantellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04664800723894271421noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-806740946175226076.post-39055982646547200572021-02-23T13:45:00.003-04:002021-02-23T13:45:25.164-04:00<p> <span style="font-size: large;">It's a brand new day, in a brand new chapter, of a brand <strike>new</strike> old life. For those of you who have visited this blog before, you'll notice that it's a fresh start. For those of you visiting for the first time, welcome!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I'm a maker and modern homesteader, enjoying such things as textile arts production, cooking, sustainability and the relentless pursuit of fun. Here in the homestead, we live a modern life while practicing old fashioned life skills like knitting, weaving and sewing as well as growing, preserving and cooking our own food as much as possible.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">We do all this in our century home on 4 acres of paradise in rural Prince Edward Island. And so, a new adventure begins... <br /></span></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p style="text-align: left;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh15y9xz9J4g2LPZdbLYxvzusvHbIYi0l79Ome6h1HQNi3t3IlKWbUVIkvTbYlgOenbCQSuRBqHRbUw42JAGWj_bblcIwxiBrCAct0O0PjRyVR_ojwDkKcF7qDYvB3EFpe5Vy7D4W6Fp0Hr/s2048/070.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1152" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh15y9xz9J4g2LPZdbLYxvzusvHbIYi0l79Ome6h1HQNi3t3IlKWbUVIkvTbYlgOenbCQSuRBqHRbUw42JAGWj_bblcIwxiBrCAct0O0PjRyVR_ojwDkKcF7qDYvB3EFpe5Vy7D4W6Fp0Hr/w360-h640/070.jpg" width="360" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJtCwevfBWBmaZFdUdsnKP_VPZP-ci4lcOUG0C7Rp5QbRTn7tI_beO4qmGMjIsIN6rz6pRbHMnyx6yBfBTp7Th8___XInyNQNvsfKWmYieF34GSYfnlums0t9hib0D8wXuydVf_U2wPmFN/s2048/067.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1152" data-original-width="2048" height="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJtCwevfBWBmaZFdUdsnKP_VPZP-ci4lcOUG0C7Rp5QbRTn7tI_beO4qmGMjIsIN6rz6pRbHMnyx6yBfBTp7Th8___XInyNQNvsfKWmYieF34GSYfnlums0t9hib0D8wXuydVf_U2wPmFN/w400-h225/067.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">(A mountain of mittens made by me using 100% wool blanket fabric and yarn, destined for a lovely shop in Nova Scotia)<br /></p>Chantellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04664800723894271421noreply@blogger.com0
